Giving Plastic an Infinite Life through Upcycling – The Carbon Blue Workshops
France is one of the biggest polluters of the Mediterranean Sea, with more than 11,000 tons of plastic ending up in the water every year.
The Carbon Blue workshops collect end-of-life plastics that are no longer useful to the community. Then, they reintegrate them into the production cycle by transforming them into recycled and recyclable carbon-neutral sheets for furniture. A 150m2 workshop has the capacity to process up to 30 tons of plastic waste per year, which represents a negative CO2 footprint of 15 tons.
