An Earth-to-Earth Circular Bioeconomy - The VEGANBOTTLE by LYSPACKAGING
According to European Commission estimates, plastic is responsible for the emission of 400 million tons of CO2 worldwide every year.
To fight plastic pollution and its harmful effects on health and the environment, companies imagine new solutions. For example, Lyspackaging has developed Veganbottles, which are biodegradable containers made from sugarcane co-products. They can be integrated into an industrial composting process, and therefore allow for simple and local management of used packaging. Since 2015, the company has already produced more than eight million containers, which corresponds to a reduction of more than 50% of greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional packaging.
